Why Does TEATEYA’s Treatment Work When Other Methods Fail?

Many of our clients have tried physiotherapy, chiropractic adjustments, massage, and medication—but their pain always came back.

The reason? Most treatments only target the symptoms, not the root cause.

At Holistic Massage Clinic TEATEYA, we focus on correcting the true underlying cause of your back pain, which is often not in the lower back itself.

The Real Causes of Back Pain

✅ Pelvic Misalignment – Leading to extra stress on the spine

✅ Tight Core & Abdominal Muscles – Creating tension and restricting movement

✅ Hip Joint Stiffness – Increasing strain on the lower back

✅ Upper Body Imbalances – Shoulder and arm tension affecting spinal alignment

If the true cause of your pain isn’t addressed, temporary relief won’t last, and you’ll keep experiencing flare-ups.

Do These Symptoms Sound Familiar?

☑ Pain after sitting for long hours

☑ Discomfort while walking

☑ Sharp pain when bending forward

☑ Pain that worsens while sleeping

☑ Back pain when lifting heavy objects

☑ Discomfort during sports or exercise

☑ Pain triggered by cold weather

☑ Back stiffness during rainy days

If you checked multiple boxes, your back pain may already be chronic. The sooner you start treatment, the easier it is to break the pain cycle!

Why Does Shoulder Stiffness Occur?

Shoulder stiffness is a common issue in today’s world, often caused by desk work, excessive smartphone use, stress, and lack of exercise. Whether in Japan or the Netherlands, many people suffer from shoulder pain, tension, or discomfort.

Do you experience any of the following?

Tight, rock-hard shoulders

A constant heavy, dull ache from the neck to the shoulders

Frequent headaches or eye strain triggered by shoulder stiffness

At Holistic Massage Clinic TEATEYA, we don’t just provide temporary relief through massage—we identify the root causes of shoulder stiffness and restore overall body balance to help prevent recurrence.

Common Symptoms of Shoulder Stiffness

✔ Shoulder tension from prolonged desk work or smartphone use

✔ Persistent heaviness in the neck and shoulders

✔ Headaches and eye strain worsening with shoulder stiffness

✔ Shoulder tightness even after waking up in the morning

✔ Limited shoulder blade mobility, making it difficult to raise your arms

✔ Temporary relief from massage or chiropractic care, but the pain returns quickly

These symptoms may not originate from the shoulders alone. An imbalance in other parts of your body could be the real cause.

What Causes Shoulder Stiffness?

Shoulder stiffness isn’t caused by a single factor. At TEATEYA, we take a whole-body approach, assessing your posture and movement to identify the true source of discomfort.

Key Causes of Shoulder Stiffness

1️⃣ POOR POSTURE (DESK WORK & “TECH NECK”)

Sitting for long hours or frequently looking down at a screen tilts the head forward, placing excessive strain on the neck and shoulders.

2️⃣ FASCIAL ADHESIONS & TWISTING

Fascia is a connective tissue network throughout the body. Adhesions in the fascia of the neck, back, and arms can contribute to persistent shoulder stiffness.

3️⃣ RESTRICTED SHOULDER BLADE MOBILITY

When the shoulder blades become rigid, the surrounding muscles tighten, reducing blood flow and making shoulder stiffness chronic.

4️⃣ STRESS & NERVOUS SYSTEM IMBALANCE

Prolonged stress leads to excessive muscle tension, poor circulation, and increased susceptibility to chronic shoulder discomfort.

TEATEYA’s Approach to Relieving Shoulder Stiffness

At TEATEYA, we don’t see shoulder stiffness as just a localized issue. Our treatments focus on the interconnectedness of muscles and fascia throughout the body to provide long-lasting relief. We aim to create a body that resists recurrence, allowing you to live pain-free.

Our treatment follows three key steps:

① In-Depth Consultation & Full-Body Assessment

To achieve real improvement, it’s essential to avoid the assumption that “shoulder pain = shoulder problem.”

🔍 Postural Analysis: Identifying patterns of misalignment in standing and sitting positions

🔍 Range of Motion Testing: Evaluating mobility in the neck, shoulders, shoulder blades, and back

🔍 Fascial Network Diagnosis: Pinpointing imbalances in muscles and fascia that contribute to shoulder tension

Example: Shoulder stiffness can sometimes originate from pelvic misalignment. Addressing the pelvis can reduce shoulder strain, even if the issue seems unrelated at first.

② Myofascial Release & Shoulder Blade Adjustment

One major cause of shoulder stiffness is fascial adhesions and twisting.

💡 What is Myofascial Release? Fascia is a thin layer of connective tissue that supports smooth muscle movement. However, prolonged inactivity or poor posture can cause it to stiffen and adhere, leading to shoulder stiffness.

Our therapy incorporates myofascial release techniques to: ✔ Address restrictions not only in the shoulders but also in the back, arms, and chest

✔ Improve shoulder blade mobility to reduce stress on the shoulders

✔ Reach deeper areas that traditional massage and stretching often miss

③ Re-Education & Prevention Program

Many people feel temporary relief after treatment, only to have the stiffness return. Why? Because unless movement patterns and daily habits change, the strain will inevitably build up again.

📌 TEATEYA’s Original Shoulder Stiffness Prevention Program:

🔹 Simple self-myofascial release techniques using a tennis ball or foam roller

🔹 Guidance on posture and movement habits to reduce shoulder strain

🔹 Easy-to-perform shoulder mobility exercises for long-term relief

By combining treatment with self-care, you’ll experience faster relief and develop a body that resists shoulder stiffness.

Expected Benefits of Our Treatment

✅ Reduced shoulder tension and discomfort

✅ Improved neck and shoulder mobility

✅ Relief from headaches and eye strain caused by stiff shoulders

✅ Increased endurance for desk work without fatigue

✅ Better posture, reducing overall shoulder strain

Before you resign yourself to thinking, “My shoulder stiffness will never go away…”, why not experience the difference at TEATEYA?

Why Does Knee Pain Occur?

Knee pain is a common concern that affects people of all ages. Everyday activities such as climbing stairs, prolonged walking, or engaging in sports can put a strain on the knees. However, knee pain is not solely caused by ageing. Poor posture, muscle imbalances, and fascial tightness can also contribute to discomfort.

Do you experience any of the following symptoms?

Difficulty kneeling due to knee pain

Pain when descending stairs

Stiffness in the knees while walking

At Holistic Massage Clinic TEATEYA, we don’t just alleviate pain temporarily—we focus on identifying the root cause of knee pain and restoring overall body balance to help prevent recurrence and maintain long-term health.

Do These Symptoms Sound Familiar?

✔ Pain when kneeling or sitting on the floor

✔ Difficulty going up and down stairs

✔ Stiffness in the knees after prolonged walking

✔ Pain when standing up from a seated position

✔ Discomfort in the knees during sports or exercise

✔ No improvement despite using pain relief patches or medications

✔ Temporary relief from massage or chiropractic care, but the pain returns quickly

If you have any of these symptoms, the true cause of your knee pain may not lie in the knee itself but rather in imbalances elsewhere in the body.

What Causes Knee Pain?

There is no single cause of knee pain. At TEATEYA, we go beyond treating just the knee—we conduct a full-body assessment to determine the underlying factors contributing to your pain.

COMMON CAUSES:

1️⃣ Postural Imbalances (Rounded Shoulders & Pelvic Misalignment)

Poor postures, such as a forward-leaning stance or pelvic misalignment, shifts the body’s centre of gravity and places excessive stress on the knees.

2️⃣ Fascial Adhesions & Twisting

Fascia is a connective tissue network that links the entire body. Adhesions in the fascia of the hips, thighs, or ankles can restrict movement and lead to knee pain.

3️⃣ Muscle Weakness & Imbalances

An imbalance between the quadriceps (front thigh muscles) and hamstrings (back thigh muscles) can create unnecessary stress on the knee joint.

4️⃣ Restricted Ankle & Hip Mobility

Knee function is closely linked to the movement of the ankles and hips. If these joints become stiff, additional strain is placed on the knee, increasing the likelihood of pain and dysfunction.

TEATEYA’s Approach to Knee Pain Relief

At TEATEYA, we don’t view knee pain as an isolated issue. Instead, we focus on the interconnections between muscles and fascia throughout the body to achieve fundamental, long-term relief.

OUR THREE-STEP TREATMENT PROCESS:

① Comprehensive Consultation & Full-Body Assessment

To effectively treat knee pain, we don’t assume that “pain in the knee = problem in the knee.”

🔍 Postural Analysis – Assessing standing posture and walking patterns to identify imbalances

🔍 Range of Motion Testing – Evaluating not just the knee but also the ankles, hips, and pelvis

🔍 Fascial Connectivity Diagnosis – Identifying restrictions in muscles and fascia affecting knee function

💡 For example, knee pain can often stem from limited ankle mobility!

Many cases of knee pain originate from stiffness in the ankles or hips, which forces the knee to compensate, leading to discomfort.

② Myofascial Release & Joint Adjustment

💡 What is Myofascial Release?

Fascia is a thin connective tissue layer covering the entire body, ensuring smooth muscle movement. Prolonged sitting and lack of activity can cause fascial adhesions, restricting knee mobility and leading to pain.

At TEATEYA, we use advanced myofascial release techniques to relieve knee stress through:

✔ Releasing fascial adhesions in the thighs, hips, and ankles (not just the knee)

✔ Addressing the entire kinetic chain rather than focusing solely on the pain site

✔ Precise adjustments targeting deep fascial layers that traditional massage may not reach

Additionally, by improving joint mobility and restoring postural balance, we reduce unnecessary strain on the knees.

③ Movement Re-Education & Prevention Program

Have you ever experienced temporary pain relief, only for the discomfort to return later?

At TEATEYA, we provide a personalized self-care program to help you maintain long-term results.

📌 TEATEYA’s Original Knee Pain Prevention Program

🔹 Simple self-myofascial release techniques using a tennis ball or foam roller

🔹 Posture correction guidance for walking and standing

🔹 Flexibility exercises for the thighs, calves, and hip joints

By combining treatment with self-care, you can achieve faster recovery and prevent recurrence.

Expected Benefits of Our Treatment

✅ Reduced knee pain and stiffness

✅ Easier stair climbing and descending

✅ Increased endurance for walking without discomfort

✅ Reduced strain on the knees during sports and exercise

✅ Improved joint mobility for greater freedom of movement

If you’re thinking, “Maybe my knee pain will never go away…”, don’t give up yet! Experience the difference with TEATEYA’s specialized treatment.

Why Do Wrist Pain and Tendonitis Occur?

Wrist and finger pain, along with the throbbing discomfort of tendonitis, are increasingly common issues in today’s society. Prolonged smartphone use, desk work, and repetitive tasks such as cooking, and caregiving can place excessive strain on the wrist and fingers, leading to inflammation and pain.

Do you experience any of the following symptoms?

🔹 Pain when using your hands

🔹 Difficulty opening a bottle cap

🔹 Stiff fingers in the morning

At Holistic Massage Clinic TEATEYA, we don’t just relieve pain temporarily. We identify the root cause of wrist pain and restore balance to the entire body, helping you achieve lasting relief and preventing recurrence.

Do These Symptoms Sound Familiar?

✔ Pain when bending the wrist

✔ Swelling or stiffness at the base of the fingers

✔ Difficulty gripping objects

✔ Wrist fatigue from using a computer or smartphone

✔ Pain worsening with frequent hand use

✔ No improvement despite using pain relief patches or wrist supports

If any of these apply to you, your wrist pain may not stem from the wrist itself but rather from imbalances elsewhere in the body.

What Causes Tendonitis and Wrist Pain?

There is no single cause of wrist pain or tendonitis. At TEATEYA, we go beyond treating the wrist alone—we evaluate the entire body’s balance to determine the true source of the issue.

COMMON CAUSES:

1️⃣ Overuse of Fingers & Wrists (Smartphone & Computer Work)

Repetitive, small hand movements stress the tendon sheath (the membrane surrounding the tendons), leading to inflammation.

2️⃣ Fascial Adhesion & Twisting in the Forearm

The muscles that move your wrist and fingers are connected to the elbow and shoulder. Restrictions in the forearm fascia can limit wrist mobility and cause pain.

3️⃣ Shoulder & Neck Muscle Tension

Hand movements involve the shoulder and neck. Poor posture and muscle stiffness in these areas can increase stress on the wrist.

4️⃣ Skeletal Imbalance

Issues in the elbow, shoulder, spine, or pelvis can create excess strain on the wrist, leading to pain and dysfunction.

“Our Clients’ Testimonials Speak for Themselves”

“MY PAIN, WHICH I HAD FOR YEARS, IS FINALLY IMPROVING.” (20S, OFFICE WORKER)

Since my student days, I had pain in my left hip joint. At first, it was just mild discomfort, but over the past few months, the pain worsened, and I started limping. The orthopaedic doctor only prescribed painkillers and patches, which didn’t address the root cause. However, at this clinic, the therapist listened carefully, explained the cause of my pain, and provided a treatment that made me feel at ease. With each session, my pain gradually disappeared. Now, I can walk from home to the station without any discomfort.

(Results may vary for each individual.)

“I LEARNED THE IMPORTANCE OF POSTPARTUM CARE.” (30S, OFFICE WORKER)

I had persistent discomfort in my lower back and hips during pregnancy. Two months after giving birth, I suddenly experienced severe pain while walking, which led me to this clinic. Initially, I didn’t know where to go, but a recommendation from a friend reassured me. I remember being amazed that I could walk pain-free after my first session. The therapist also explained that pelvic misalignment is not caused by childbirth itself, but by lifestyle habits before birth. That was a surprising insight for me.

(Results may vary for each individual.)

“STANDING FOR LONG PERIODS IS NO LONGER A STRUGGLE!” (40S, SELF-EMPLOYED)

I began experiencing knee pain along with hip discomfort, making walking difficult. I had to rely on my car for short trips, and even household chores became unbearable after just 20 minutes of standing. I thought my hip joint was the problem, but after a thorough assessment, the therapist identified imbalances in my body that were placing excessive strain on my hips and knees. After receiving treatment and correcting my posture and walking habits, my pain disappeared in just a month!

(Results may vary for each individual.)

“AN EXPERIENCE LIKE NO OTHER.” (30S, OFFICE WORKER)

I had tried several therapy sessions elsewhere with no success, so I wasn’t expecting much this time either. However, this treatment felt completely different. After the session, my body felt incredibly light, and my pain had noticeably decreased. It was a truly eye-opening experience.

(Results may vary for each individual.)

“I CAN FINALLY GO FOR WALKS AGAIN.” (70S, HOMEMAKER)

Hip pain had made walking impossible for me. Traditional treatments at the hospital didn’t help, so I decided to try this clinic. The difference was remarkable. The pressure and pain I felt while bearing weight on my hip significantly reduced, allowing me to walk comfortably again. I am truly grateful.

(Results may vary for each individual.)

“I THOUGHT I WOULD NEVER WALK NORMALLY AGAIN.” (50S, OFFICE WORKER)

Walking and even car rides became painful after injuring my hip during a trip. My doctor assured me there was no structural damage but recommended pain relief medication and electrotherapy. However, after two months, my walking ability had deteriorated further. The doctor attributed it to age-related muscle loss, leaving me with no clear solution. Just when I was ready to give up, my daughter recommended this clinic. The therapist reassured me, saying, “With proper treatment and care, you can regain your mobility!” The thorough examination, detailed explanation, and personalized treatment plan gave me hope. Now, I can walk without any issues, and I’m so glad I didn’t give up.

(Results may vary for each individual.)

“I AVOIDED SURGERY AND REGAINED MY MOBILITY!” (60S, HOMEMAKER)

Diagnosed with osteoarthritis of the knee, I had been receiving hyaluronic acid injections. The pain would temporarily subside but always returned the next day. Even physical therapy didn’t help, and I was about to opt for surgery when my daughter recommended this clinic. To my surprise, my knee pain wasn’t due to the knee itself but was caused by hip dysfunction. By addressing the real issue, my pain disappeared completely. I was also guided on effective stretching and exercises, allowing me to live pain-free without surgery. I am truly grateful!

(Results may vary for each individual.)

Why Does Our Treatment Work for Hip Pain?

WHY OTHER TREATMENTS FAIL

Many of our patients have tried multiple clinics or hospitals before coming to us. Many were told that surgery was the only option, leaving them feeling hopeless about ever living pain-free.

However, if the true cause of the pain is identified, hip pain can be effectively treated.

For example, a person suffering from right hip pain may assume the problem lies in their right hip. However, we have found cases where the real issue was muscle weakness in the left hip, leading to compensation and pain on the right side.

This means treating the painful area alone is often ineffective. A comprehensive evaluation of the entire body is essential for true recovery.

Common Ineffective Treatments:

Told that your “hip socket is too shallow”

Taking painkillers for months with little improvement

Undergoing electrical stimulation therapy around the hip

These approaches focus solely on the hip itself, which is why they fail to deliver lasting results.

At our clinic, we assess each patient individually and tailor treatments to their unique condition. No two treatments are the same, as no two causes are identical. By identifying and addressing the root cause of your pain, we help you recover as quickly as possible.

Understanding Hip Pain

Hip pain refers to discomfort surrounding the hip joint. It typically develops gradually rather than suddenly. Before severe pain arises, there are often early warning signs, such as mild discomfort or stiffness.

If left unaddressed, the condition can progress, leading to cartilage wear and joint deformation. Symptoms may include:

Pain when getting up, standing, or starting to walk

Discomfort in the hip, thigh, buttocks, or knee

Difficulty with everyday activities such as climbing stairs, wearing socks, or sitting cross-legged

Persistent pain even at rest, potentially affecting sleep

Ignoring hip pain can lead to significant mobility issues and a decline in quality of life. It’s crucial to take action at the first signs of discomfort.

What Causes Hip Pain and Osteoarthritis?

RISK FACTORS:

Habit of crossing legs while sitting

Placing body weight on the outer edge of the feet

Hip stiffness from childhood

Poor posture (e.g., slouching)

Sleeping on one side

These habits contribute to body imbalances that stress the hip joint excessively. Over time, misalignment leads to instability, resulting in pain and mobility issues.

When hip pain emerges, other joints may compensate, leading to further imbalances. This can result in secondary issues like lower back pain or knee discomfort, ultimately making walking difficult and reducing overall quality of life.

If you experience hip discomfort, stiffness, or pain, don’t wait—take action now!

“Is Surgery Really the Only Option?” — Don’t Give Up on Your Recovery Yet!

Are you struggling with persistent lower back pain or leg numbness and starting to believe “Nothing will ever fix this…”?

 Sharp pain when bending forward
Numbness or tingling in one leg
Weakness or instability when walking or standing up
The doctor recommended surgery for a herniated disc
Tried physiotherapy or chiropractic care with no relief
Worried that your mobility will only get worse

The real cause of your pain may not be your lower back!

Want to Avoid Surgery? There’s Still Hope!

At Holistic Massage Clinic TEATEYA, we have successfully helped many patients who were told that surgery was their only option.

70-year-old woman – Avoided surgery for a herniated disc and regained mobility after 8 sessions, allowing her to enjoy travelling again.
30-year-old man – Severe nerve pain made walking unbearable, but after 5 sessions, he was able to walk comfortably.
50-year-old woman – Chronic back pain kept her from working, but with treatment, she returned to her job pain-free.

Are you wondering, “Is surgery really the only way?”
With the right treatment approach, pain and numbness can be reduced or even eliminated—without invasive procedures!

Why Other Treatments May Not Be Working

The root cause of herniated disc pain is often not in the lower back itself but in imbalances throughout the body, including muscle and fascia tension.

Here are two real cases:

 40-year-old woman (Office worker)
Her lower back pain was actually caused by tight calf muscles and fascia.
After just two sessions targeting her legs and hips, her pain was significantly reduced!

 50-year-old man (Delivery worker)
His right leg numbness wasn’t from a nerve issue in the lower back—it was due to misalignment in his left pelvis.
Adjusting his pelvic and spinal balance led to a 50% improvement in numbness within a few sessions and complete relief after six sessions.

Treating only the symptom (your lower back) without addressing the root cause will not lead to lasting improvement.

• Shallow breathing and tight diaphragm

• Chronic stress and postural tension in the chest and neck

• Fascial adhesions around the thorax and abdomen

All of these can keep your body on high alert—even when your mind wants to sleep.
